Open Computing Language – OpenCL
Open Computing Language or OpenCL is the first open,
royalty-free standard framework for writing programs that execute across heterogeneous platforms consisting of CPUs, GPUs, and other processors. OpenCL provides a uniform programming environment for software developers to write efficient, portable code for high-performance compute server, desktop computer systems & handheld devices using a diverse mix of multi-core CPUs, GPUs, Cell-type architectures & other parallel processors such as DSPs.
OpenCL is being created by the Khronos Group with the participation of many industry-leading companies & institutions
