Airbus 320 plane crashes into New York Hudson River

plane crashes in New YorkThe Airbus 320 – Flight 1549 from New York’s La Guardia airport to Charlotte, North Carolina – had 155 people on board, made up of 150 passengers and five crew members. Plane has crash-landed in the water of the Hudson River, to the west of Manhattan, after hitting what is thought to have been some form of obstruction.

It is not known how many people are injured as a result of the crash, but New York Police boats & local ferries are in the vicinity of the plane, & people have been sighted on the wings of the plane as some form of rescue begins to take shape. Dozens of frantic passengers clustered on the wings of the plane seeking to stay out of the water as they were swiftly evacuated onto waiting boats.
