Finding the MAC address of a Windows XP computer

Open up the Start menu, & click Run. You should see the following window:

Type cmd in the “run”: box, and click OK. The will bring up a black command prompt window like:

Type ipconfig /all in at the prompt & then press the ENTER key.
(If it scrolls off the top you may need to enlarge the window)

ipconfig all network windows command

Look for the Physical Address in this window. That is the MAC address your computer.
