US F-18 jet crashes in San Diego. A US military F-18 fighter jet has crashed into a residential area of San Diego, – (FAA) Federal Aviation Administration source has said. Maurice Luque, a spokesman for the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, says it’s not immediately clear whether anyone has been injured.

The F/A-18 Hornet military jet plane was approaching Marine Corps Air Station Miramar when it crashed, and the pilot ejected safely, according a statement from the station’s Public Affairs Office.
