5.1 earthquake strikes Los Angeles to San Diego
Moderate 5.1 quake strikes Mojave Desert east of L.A on Friday night along the Lavic Lake Fault, about 120 miles east of Los Angeles. The moderate quake occurred at 8:18 p.m. near Ludlow, in San Bernardino County, east of Barstow, & could be felt from Los Angeles to San Diego. This quake was just a few miles away from where the 7.1 magnitude Hector Mine quake hit in 1999.
