Enable ICMP for Windows Firewall in Windows XP SP2

How to enable ICMP in windows firewall ?

Step 1:

ICMP windows firewallOpen Windows Firewall:

  • Start Control Panel
  • Open Security Center
  • and Select Windows Firewall

Sptep 2 enable ICMP:

  • Select the Advanced tab and click Settings… under ICMP
  • Check all the checkboxes to enable ICMP & click OK!
  • Close the Windows Firewall and Close Windows Security Center.

Job DONE … ICMP is enabled through Windows Firewall
