47-year-old man, computer technician, from Cyprus has been given a four year jail sentence after hacking a teenage girl’s webcam in order to take illicit/illegal pictures of the young woman in her bedroom.

The Webcam spy hacker used Trojan horse spyware to gain remote control of a webcam. The teenager’s computer became infected after she made the mistake of opening an spyware infected email attachment.

The hacker took compromising photos of the teenager while she was alone in her bedroom for an extended period of time without her knowledge, & then threatened to send the pictures to her email contacts unless she posed naked in front of the webcam.

The teenage girl refused to comply, & instead contacted local police, who tracked down, resulting in the man’s arrest in 2005
