This update improves the playback quality of some PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation format software. This means that some PLAYSTATION 3 games like GTA4, MGS4, and COD4 that can brick your PS3 now they cant because this update improves the playback quality.

- A USB cable
- A PC with Internet access
- Storage media (Memory Stick™, SD Memory Card, CompactFlash®)* or a USB Mass Storage device such as a USB flash drive (At least 135 MB of free space required)
- An appropriate USB adaptor (not included) is required to use storage media with some models.
