iPhone 2 with 3G and GPS - is cheaper and faster

A problem with the online registration system run by the O2 network meant that many people could not activate their devices at Apple stores. The new iPhone 2 version, which is cheaper & faster, went on sale in 22 countries. Some customers who had waited patiently to buy the new iPhone could not get them activated and those who were trying to upgrade were left disappointed with blocked or broken phones.

At&T are advising customers to sync their iPhones with iTunes from home. Christopher Finke told the TechCrunch blog “If you stand in line to be one of the first people to buy a new gadget, don’t be surprised when things don’t go smoothly. That’s the price you pay for being first.” (news.bbc.co.uk)
