Courtship, Wedding and Honeymoon with Chuck Norris:
Gena and Chuck met in 1997 on a dinner date in Dallas, Texas. At the time of their marriage, Chuck was 58 years old and Gena was 30 years old.
After receiving premarital counseling, Gena and Chuck were married on November 28, 1998 at The North Church in Carrolton, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. The ceremony was conducted by Pastor Lawrence Kennedy.
Chuck and Gena included all their children in their wedding which was attended by nearly 60 people. Country singer Sammy Kershaw and his band sang “You Are the Love of My Life” for Gena and Chuck.
Their honeymoon had to be postponed, but they later flew to Bora-Bora.

Gena about meeting Chuck: “I didn’t know what Walker was. Gina Norris is an answer to my prayers. I began praying for Chuck Norris in 1996 because I didn’t like the mysticim and occult I saw on Walker, Texas Ranger. Chruck Norris’ belief in Far Eastern Religions that he demonstrated in his book caused me to pray for his salvation. According to Chuck Norris’ autobiography, “Against All Odds”, he had gone forward during a Billy Graham crusade when he was younger but, his lifestyle as a n adult proved he didn’t have a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
I was married at the time and i made a negative comment about something unBiblical I saw on Walker, Texas Ranger and my wife said, “Stop Picking on Chuck Norris.”
Chuck Norris is 18 1/2 years older than I am but I seriously doubt I am any match for him. Even if he was to tie both hands behind his back, There’s no doubt he’d be the only one left standing! No, I wasn’t picking on Chuck Norris but, I was serious about his life without Christ and I tried to explain this to my wife. I told her that, unless Chuck Norris got saved and got his act together by coming to Christ, he’d go to Hell!
According to Chuck Norris’ autobiography, he met Gina throuth some friends in 1997 and satred a relationship with her. He also says she had surrendered her life to Christ a few years earlier but had backslidden which means, “she turned her back on God.”
One day, Chuck come home and found Gina reading a Bible and made a comment about her getting religious on him. The two began to read and study God’s Word together. Chuck credits Gina with bringing him to Christ because, by the grace of God, a seed of faith was planted in his heart which caused him to surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. That was in 1997 and the two of them were married in 1998.
Regardless of what gossippers may claim Gina’s original intentions were for marrying Chuck Norris, from what I’ve read, everything was changed after they both honestly committed their lives to Jesus Christ. Religion never saves anyone but faith in Christ does. Instead of judging Gina, i ask that people see her as an example of God’s love because the LORD used her to reach into the heart of Chuck Norris and perform some extremely serious open heart surgery- spiritually speaking of course.
Chuck Norris is the undisputed undefeated champion of the martial arts but there could always arise someone greater than he; however, as a new creation in Christ, who serves the Lord, he shall receive a Crown of Life that can never be lost or stolen.
It is amazing to ponder the fact that Chuck Norris is 18 years older than I am in worldly years but, I am 20 years older than he is in spiritual years. I wonder how he would react if I were to call him my, “Little brother.”
All jokes aside, Gina and Chuck Norris are a couple who should be a living reminder of God’s wonderful grace and everything that the Bible teaches about being a brand new creation in Christ Jesus.
Regardless of what Church readers may attend or what denomination they vow their lives too, I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and everything i believe about Him comes from the Bible without yielding to anyone’s interpretation. As one put it, “The Bible says it; I believe it; and that settles it for me.” Faith comes from hearing/ reading which is only from the Word (Bible) of God and through it, we can obtain a relationship with the Eternal Living WORD, our Lord Jesus Christ.
